They also make lousy witnesses.
In case you've forgotten, Iraq did not have WMDs -- despite claims of the Bully Boy Bush to the contrary.
Or as I.F. Stone so famously put it, "All governments lie."
Unless they're saying what you want to hear, of course.
Which explains yesterday's hideous post by the boy or girl who wishes he or she was Brad Pitt -- you know who I'm talking about -- which is either now up at INFORMATION CLEARING HOUSE or will be later today.
Because when there's s**t offered by a macho s**t head, it gets smeared around.
Brad Wannabe jizzed in his/her pants over the bombing of Sunni mosques because, you know it's coming, Haider al-Abadi is telling the press that it was a 'false flag' operation carried out by the Sunni terrorist group the Islamic State.
And because Haider says it, that makes it true!
Haider did say it.
And the AP did report his claim.
But that doesn't make it reality.
In September 2014, Haider admitted that it was wrong to bomb civilians in Falluja and said he had stopped those bombings.
But the next day the bombings continued -- and continue to this day.
Haider saying the bombings had stopped didn't make it so.
Could Monday's mosque bombings have been carried out by the Islamic State.
Anything is possible.
But Brad Wannabe didn't present it as a possibility. He noted the AP quote and ran with the claim as reality.
Because he's an idiot.
I have no idea why a war monger like that boy//girl is even re-posted by INFORMATION CLEARING HOUSE to begin with.
I know he's full of thunder and rage but he never offers anything of value -- either newsworthy or just something well said.
And that's why we ignore the blustering blow hard over and over.
But when he's rushing to shore up the claim of a ruler, readers need to ask what's really going on?
As for Haider, it's certainly in his interest to claim ISIS carried out the attack.
As those of us in December's Congressional hearings about Iraq well know, the House and the Senate are tired of the non-inclusion in Iraq, they're tired of Haider al-Abadi's inability or unwillingness to put together a true coalition and to end the sectarianism.
The Monday bombings do not play well for Haider.
US House Rep Beto O'Rourke infamously asked Secretary of Defense Ash Carter if there is ever a point where the US government stops supporting rulers who do harm to the people.
And Carter's lame reply was that they believe -- the White House -- that Haider's the only horse in the race.
The White House, of course, installed Haider as prime minister in the fall of 2014 after thug Nouri's actions became too much for even Barack Obama to turn a blind eye too.
It would be really nice if even Brad Wannabes could examine events as events and not as some endless round of shirts & skins with Brad Wannabe always rallying (and proselytizing) for his side.
