Sinan Salaheddin (AP) reports that violence in Iraq has claimed the lives of at least 15 civilians throughout Iraq. Meanwhile the battle for Ramadi goes on.

And isn't that strange?

Considering the footage Barbara Starr used on CNN yesterday afternoon, even offered descriptions too, passed it off in such a manner that, in fact, many viewers wrongly though Barbara had been in Iraq, present at the effort to retake Ramadi.

Maybe some of the same viewers caught the same video on Fox News this morning?

Only Fox didn't provide a talking head to narrate and pretend they were present.

But that footage looked so convincing -- albeit just a tiny bit faked.

Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't.

But it didn't look real.

It did, however, portray a gaggle of Iraqi forces shooting rifles and moving through Ramadi -- which looked like a ghost town in the video.

So much like a ghost town, in fact, that you had to wonder who they were shooting off those rifle rounds at?

Falih Hassan and Kareem Fahim (NEW YORK TIMES) report that even more Iraqi troops are being sent to Ramadi (yesterday, there were 10,000 -- for the 350 Islamic State fighters) and that, according to US military spokesperson Col Steven Warren, "there had been no significant developments in the battle to reclaim the city."

Huh?

Did they not see the video Barbara Starr narrated?

Again, it was a ghost town in that video (which, again, looked faked).
