The dead body was found of a government councilman in the West of Mosul, killed by gunfire.
Bandits stormed a home in the east of Baghdad and slaughtered the entire family of six inside with knives. A young man in central Kirkuk opened fire on his family, killing three of his own brothers and injuring both his parents. Gunmen shot and killed a civilian near his home in the south of Mosul, and the same happened to another man in the east of Mosul. An explosive device targeted the house of an official of the Awakening forces in the south of Baghdad, killing him instantly and injuring two passers-by. A roadside bomb targeted a government army patrol in the east of Mosul, injuring one of its soldiers and a nearby civilian.

In the west of Baghdad, fighters fired on a guard of the leader of the Sons of Iraq militia in his home and injured the guard. Fighters attacked a military checkpoint in the west of Mosul, killing one of its soldiers and injuring another.
Hundreds of workers in military manufacturing launched demonstrations near the Ninawa provincial council, demanding transfer to civilian jobs.
