In a new crime against unarmed civilians; the so-called "popular mobilization" militias have proceeded to kill more than (45 ) young man on Monday, who were from families displaced for sectarian motives, in a village northeast Baquba, Diyala province.
Witnesses confirmed that groups of those rabid militias supervised directly by Hadi al-Ameri, Badr militia leader, have stormed houses in the Barwana village of the district Abu Saida in Muqdadiyah, after they imposed a blockade since the day before yesterday morning; and arrested dozens civilians, including women, before they carried out the execution of 45 of them in a retaliatory manner punctuated with sectarian slogans and practices.
Witnesses said that the unarmed victims belong to the Jabour Clan, had long before been displaced from their villages in the area (Sensl) north of the district, as a result of the intense fighting in the region.
In a related context; the sources reported that these sectarian militias and other government forces still besieging the village of Nahrul-Imam, on the outskirts of Muqdadiyah, which inhabited by the Mahdia Clan, confirming that these forces began to bombard the village with mortars and rocket launchers, noting that the clan didn't leave their village since the beginning of the events that rocked the province and Iraq in general.
Whereas the Association of Muslim Scholars condemns this sectarian crimes that clearly show how much those militias characterized by lack of ethics to a limit that they have killed unarmed civilians in front of their families in a massacre of no less heinous than the previous ones committed by the governments of occupation and associated militias; it blaming the current government and the sectarian mobilization militias and the House of Representatives full responsibility for this despicable criminal act, and demanding the residents of the areas that subject to such sectarian attacks to defend themselves and their honor; who is been killed because of his islamic religion and his family and his wealth is a martyr.
