Savage crime by slaughtering a shepherd called Abu Omar Al Shimmarri

On 10th March, 2015, AMSI released a Press Release concerning the slaughter of a young shepherd in Sallahudeen by government security forces and criminal militias in which it stated that the so called “popular mobilization militias” backed by the government and its forces committed a savage crime by slaughtering a shepherd called Abu Omar Al Shimmarri in a village in Sallahudeen motivated by sectarian reasons and is authenticated by a video by cutting his neck off after stabbing him multiple times while chanting sectarian chants and takfeeri slogans.
It also stated that the victim works for one of the shaikhs in the district and is the father of 6 children including a 2 month old baby, and a wife.
AMSI further condemned this ugly crime and considers that it indicates the criminal mentality of these killers which they use when dealing with the Iraqi people who are plagued with Iran’s agents  and calls upon human rights organizations to monitor and deal firmly with these crimes because silence about them will be considered by these criminals as a green light for their continuation.
