Nouri's out but Jane's got a crush on new boy Haider

AFP reports former prime minister of Iraq and forever thug Nouri al-Maliki has dubbed the Iraqi Parliament's findings on the fall of Mosul "worthless."

For those late to the story, yesterday Emma Gatten (Independent) reported:

Former Iraqi prime minister Nouri al-Maliki could face trial over the fall to Isis of Iraq’s second city of Mosul, which led to the declaration of its caliphate last summer. It's not just the report that Nouri's denouncing, it's the finding of his guilt.

AFP quotes Nouri's rant from his Facebook page:

There is no value in the result that emerged from the parliamentary investigation committee on the fall of Mosul, which was dominated by political differences and was not objective. [. . .] What happened in Mosul was a conspiracy planned in Ankara, then the conspiracy moved to Arbil,

World Bulletin notes, "Iraq’s parliament approved the report on Monday by a large majority, after which it was referred to the CPI and the court [Supreme Court] for further investigation and a final decision."

Meanwhile, the selling of Haider al-Abadi's reforms or 'reforms' continues. Even The Old Whore of Baghdad herself weighs in to give Haider's rump a nice long smooch -- Jane Arraf at Defense One.

No one's ever whored as well as Jane.

She whored for Saddam when he was in power and we all know she whored for Nouri.

In fact, some people who know her pedestrian work for the Christian Science Monitor during Nouri's second term (2010 - 2014) may be shocked to come across her writing this today:

Former prime minister Nouri al-Maliki crushed demonstrations during his rule when plain-clothes police officers beat and stabbed protesters. He sent the army in to dismantle Sunni protest camps in the Anbar protest.

Clearly, Jane believes Nouri is politically dead and now feels safe to rat him out.

She couldn't report the truth in real time.

But isn't that the story of her career?

Her former boss (at CNN) Eason Jordan might have penned the infamous column "The News We Kept To Ourselves" but, for Jane Arraf, it wasn't just a column, it was a way of life.

And now she's out to pimp Haider al-Abadi.

She's not out to report what he's doing -- that would involve questioning.

No, Jane's found her new crush, her new man and she's already cut out his photo and pasted it to her lunch box as well as onto her pillow.
