A woman driving a car was killed in the south of Hillah as a cowintercepted her path, and her two children drowned. The body of a mentally ill girl in her twenties was found in the north of Hillah, drowned in the Euphrates river. Men traveling in a civilian car opened fire with automatic weapons on a civilian in front of his home in the east of Mosul, killing him on the spot. A car bomb exploded in a crowded area in the north of Baghdad, injuring two of the governmental police and three civilians. Another car bomb was detonated in central Baghdad near a popular cafe, killing one civilian on the spot and injuring six more (the death toll is likely to rise, by the explosion's severity).The daughter of a retired army officer (brigadier general) was injured by a Katyusha rocket fired at his home in central Kirkuk. One of the Peshmerga was found dead in a neighborhood street in the north of Kirkuk, executed with gunshot wounds to the head and chest. An explosive device went off beneath a bus carrying Pakistani travelers as it was passing south of Tikrit, killing two of them and injuring twelve others by various degrees.
Men traveling in a civilian car fired with silenced pistols on an officer of the government forces in front of his home in the north of Mosul, killing him on the spot.
A car bomb in the south of Fallujah targeted a government army patrol, and injured four of the government army when it blew up. Men opened fire with automatic weapons on a passing police patrol in the south of Kirkuk, injuring two of the
governmental police and damaging their vehicle.
The government forces carried out search and raid operations in the provinces of At-Ta'mim and Salah Ad-Din. They raided dozens of homes, laying out false chargesagainst the victims and taking them away to unknown destinations. They claimed tohave detained 41 civilians but local news in the areas confirmed the numbers to behigher.
